A study from Ohio State University has found that Horses can have a near-magical effect on people with Alzheimer's Disease.
"In Therapeutic Horseback Riding the side to side movement & rotation movement of the horse’s movement stimulates human movement. The sensory input helps to stimulate the muscles, improve balance and coordination, stretch hip joints, reduce pain & spasticity in muscles & legs, increase limberness and muscle tone, and stimulate the spine."
