Participants start from the ground up and learn both theory and hands-on planting activities. Our vision is to plant a large variety of fruits, vegetables and herbal plants. We hope to eventually have a garden to provide substance for the less fortunate, as well as serve as a social and therapeutic experience for participants in our Horticulture Program. Studies suggest that gardening can be a very soothing process; the act of feeling wet soil in your hands, as well as, watching something that you planted grow and ultimately helping to sustain others.
